High-voltage grid connection, design and construction of transformer substations, and
development of primary cabling and entrance lighting infrastructure.
Ariel Sharon Park is one of Israel’s largest and most ambitious environmental projects,
requiring a comprehensive upgrade of its electrical infrastructure to support the growing
power demands of the entire site.
The central challenge was to regulate and establish the park’s high-voltage grid connection
while managing a complex engineering process that involved close coordination with the
park’s management, the Israel Electric Corporation, and a multidisciplinary team of
consultants.
Ami & Igal was appointed as the main contractor for the project, leading it from the
conceptual planning stage through to full system commissioning.
Integrated Design and Execution
We delivered a detailed engineering design and full execution of the park’s main power
supply and lighting network:
High-Voltage Infrastructure
Complete civil and electrical works for the construction of transformer substations
and the main high-voltage switchgear room, including structural design,
foundations, and equipment integration.
Primary Power Distribution
Complex installation of underground high-voltage and main feeder lines supplying
power across the park, executed in strict compliance with regulatory standards and
under full approval of the electric utility.
Road and Entrance Lighting
Development of a new street and roadway lighting network at the park’s main
entrance, ensuring high safety standards while delivering an aesthetic lighting
solution aligned with the park’s natural and architectural character.
Regulatory Coordination and System Integration
Comprehensive management of all regulatory processes, including final grid
connection and system testing in coordination with the electric utility, alongside
continuous collaboration with park management and project consultants.
The Result
A stable power supply and a clearly defined, illuminated entrance.
Through meticulous management, proven expertise in high-voltage systems, and strong
multi-stakeholder coordination, the project was completed successfully. Ariel Sharon Park
now benefits from a safe, reliable, and well-organized electrical network, while its entrance
has been transformed into a functional, accessible, and well-lit gateway for the millions of
visitors who enter the park each year.
